Voorgestelde areas vir verdere navorsing

Hierdie studie het die basis verskaf vir die tekort aan navorsing aangaande die berading van egpare wat worstel met GRK. Daardeur het daar egter verskeie deure oopgegaan vir moontlikhede vir verdere navorsing. Die volgende voorgestelde areas is geïdentifiseer vir verdere navorsing:

 Die verskil in ervaring van GRK oor verskillende sosiale groepe (soos gemeenskappe, kulture of rasse).

 Die invloed van genetiese samestelling (en veral geslagshormone) op mans en vrouens se ervaring van GRK.

 Die verskil in uitdrukking van emosies teenoor GRK tussen mans en vrouens.  Die invloed van onderrig (of vlak van onderrig) as voorspeller van GRK.  Op watter wyse mense se werk-/familieverhouding ʼn invloed kan hê op GRK.  Die invloed van finansies as voorspeller van GRK.

 Die korrelasie tussen ouderdom en liggaamlike ontevredenheid as ʼn moontlike oorsaak van GRK.

 Die invloed van ouderdom op die ervaring van GRK.

 Die invloed van kinders in hulle ouers se ervaring van GRK.

 Die ondersoek van egpare wat reeds pastorale berading ontvang het in verband met GRK.

Navorsing in verband met die pastorale berading van egpare wat worstel met GRK is nog relatief jonk en tog is GRK ʼn komponent wat meeste mense se lewens beïnvloed. Deur verdere navorsing in hierdie veld kan daar verseker word dat GRK die nodige aandag verdien tydens pastorale berading en egpare sodoende begelei kan word om hierdie saak effektief op te los.

Ek is ʼn student van die Noordwes-Universiteit Potchefstroomkampus wat tans besig is met my MA in Pastoraal.
