5.3 Aanbevelingen voor nader onderzoek

Vanwege het geringe aantal onderzoeken naar cyberpesten bij jongeren met een licht verstandelijke beperking wordt aanbevolen meer onderzoek te doen. Onderhavig onderzoek is een verkenning van de ervaringen en concepten die een rol spelen bij cyberpesten bij jongeren met een LVB. Elk concept vraagt om meer onderzoek en verdieping zodat generalisatie van de resultaten mogelijk is. Bij vervolgonderzoek dient rekening te gehouden te worden met het verschil in

betrokkenheid van de jongeren bij vragenlijstonderzoek en tijdens interviews. Ook dient er rekening gehouden te worden met de verschuiving van populariteit van de programma’s waar mee gepest wordt (Pieschl, Porcsh, Kahl, & Klockenbusch, 2013). Een mixed methods onderzoek naar cyberpesten bij jongeren met een LVB, waarin zowel interviews als vragenlijsten worden afgenomen, is aan te bevelen.

6. Dankwoord

Met dit dankwoord wil ik mij richten aan iedereen die mij heeft gesteund en heeft

meegeholpen aan de totstandkoming van mijn masterscriptie. Allereerst wil ik de jongeren bedanken voor hun deelname aan dit onderzoek. Zonder hun verhalen, openheid en oprechtheid kon deze masterscriptie niet geschreven worden. Daarbij aansluitend wil ik de praktijkschool GSG Het Segment bedanken. In het bijzonder Jacqueline Slabbekoorn, Dick Radder en Arian Koops, voor hun tijd, openheid en vertrouwen in mij en het onderzoek. Verder gaat een groot woord van dank uit naar mijn scriptiebegeleider dhr. Xavier Moonen voor zijn uitstekende begeleiding, feedback en rappe reacties. De weg naar het behalen van mijn masterscriptie was een uitdaging maar mede dankzij Xavier Moonen die de afgelopen jaren altijd voor mij klaarstond is het gelukt om dit hoofdstuk in mijn leven met veel genoegen af te sluiten.
