Patiënten verwezen van fysiotherapeut naar huisarts In het evidence statement Acuut knieletsel van het Koninklijk Nederlands Genootschap

voor Fysiotherapie (KNGF) uit 2015 staan een aantal indicaties voor door- en

eventueel terugverwijzing van de fysiotherapeut naar de huisarts. Bij het

vermoeden van voorstekruisbandletsel wordt geadviseerd om de patiënt na het acute letsel te verwijzen naar de huisarts voor mogelijke doorverwijzing naar de tweede lijn om de diagnose te laten bevestigen, en tegelijkertijd de fysiotherapeutische behandeling te starten.

Bij het vermoeden van achterstekruisband- en collateralebandletsel wordt geadviseerd de patiënt binnen 1 week door te verwijzen naar de huisarts (voor mogelijke doorverwijzing naar een specialist, onder andere voor het aanmeten van een brace). Ook onvoldoende effect van conservatieve behandeling is een reden voor (terug)verwijzing naar de huisarts. 32
