Multicultural and diverse community
At the moment there are 43 trainees in the PDEng Data Science program. Together with the graduates between 2018 and now that makes a total of 77 trainees1, from 30 different countries and five continents.
About 72% of trainees join the program from outside EU region. The remaining 28% EU trainees are evenly distributed between Dutch and non-Dutch nationals.

There have been seven Data Challenge Weeks organized between April 2016 and April 2019. A total of 126 applicants have been selected to participate in these seven Data Challenge Weeks as part of the selection process. Each Data Challenge Week has been hosted by a different Dutch company.

Alumni PDEng program Data Science
In 2019 the DSconnect alumni association was formally launched as the initiative of the trainees in the program and program graduates. The association is managed by trainees within the PDEng program on volunteering basis. DSconnect intends to create a network of Data Science alumni by being present on the internet (
https://www.dsconnect.org/) and on professional networks (
https://www.linkedin.com/company/dsconnect/).
Graduate of PDEng program Data Science are well sought professionals. Majority of them are currently working in companies throughout the Netherlands as data scientists.
