Het onderzoek naar de tuniek zou op technologisch gebied uitgebreid moeten worden. In het huidige onderzoek zijn voor kleuranalyse alleen kleuren onderzocht die visueel van elkaar onderscheiden zijn, verder zijn er geen kleuren onderzocht. Voorts is er vanuit gegaan dat de witte inslag en ketting ongeverfd waren, maar of deze vezels andere behandelingen hebben ondergaan is niet onderzocht.

Voor Microfading zijn alleen garens met meekrap onderzocht, omdat het overgrote deel van de tuniek hieruit bestaat. De decoratie bestaat uit meerdere kleuren, in het bijzonder zou geel lichtgevoeliger kunnen zijn. Naast deze lichtvastheidstest voor meerdere kleuren zou het effect van licht op de kleuren en de vezels van het object als geheel nader onderzocht moeten worden.
