• Oratorium was opened in 1993 by Michalici's priests as a response to the social needs of the local environment, to the pathology and dysfunction of the families among whom the children lived and live.
• Oratorium is a safe, friendly, “open” institution that uses elements of innovative teaching methods focused on success and acceptance of failures.
• Oratorium creates special conditions for educating a child and stimulating a child’s development, free from taboos and prejudices, open to other people, tolerant and rich in positive experience and full of hope.
• Here every child is equally important, loved and respected. In a family atmosphere, under the leadership of the professional teaching staff, the child comprehensively develops and studies the models necessary to build the right relationships in society.
• Oratorium cultivates values based on family culture and traditions, and cultivates its own traditions, developed in collaboration with parents and children. Parents of our students have the right to participate in the education of their children and in the life of Oratorium.
• The development of children is followed by qualified, competent, purposeful and responsible pedagogical workers using active teaching and didactic methods using modern teaching aids.
• Oratorium has a gym and a library, organizes outdoor activities during the holidays, aimed at the development of children, meetings with church ministers and famous figures to communicate with children and parents.
• The Oratorium has a well-developed volunteer program: every year students of the faculties of social and pedagogical sciences of Nicolaus Copernicus University undergo internships and use the
experience of Oratorium to write scientific papers. Currently, about 170 volunteers help Oratorium and among them are not only students and social workers, but also ordinary people who wanted to become a volunteer.

Oratorium as home
Every day from 15.00 to 19.00 you can come to the Oratorium and relax after school, quietly do your homework with the help of a teacher, spend time with good use, talk about your problems. Because
children in Oratorium often come from dysfunctional families where there is a risk of
alcoholism or drug addiction.
Oratorium as a school
Oratorium offers classes that expand schooling opportunities. There are classes in foreign
languages, music classes, hobby groups - computer, mathematical.
Oratorium as a playground Oratorium has a special time for fun and relaxation, where children can communicate
with each other and establish friendships.
