Elsewhere, little to no rain (<5mm) was observed in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. On a longer time scale, thirty-day rainfall has been near-average and seasonably light across Hispaniola. Only the region around Port-au-Prince has observed above- average rainfall. Even with light rainfall, vegetation conditions are above-average across much of Hispaniola. For the next week, scattered light to moderate rain showers (5-30mm) are forecast across southern and central Haiti and eastern Dominican Republic.
