1) Conditions will be favorable for heavy rainfall during the period on the Pacific side of Costa Rica and southwestern parts of Panama. Rainfall totals for the period are expected to range from 100 to 200 mm, with higher amounts possible in some areas. These rains may trigger flooding, as well as landslides in mountainous areas. Elsewhere, locally heavy rains may cause localized flooding in southern Guatemala and Honduras.
However, widespread flooding problems are not anticipated in this area. Therefore, the region is not highlighted on the map.
