6. Conclusie en Discussie
6.4 Aanbevelingen en suggesties voor verder onderzoek
De bevindingen van deze scriptie evenals de hierboven besproken discussiepunten geven aanleiding voor verder onderzoek. Voortkomend uit de vergelijking tussen de theoretische en praktische opties van EM zouden beleidsmakers betrokken bij de vormgeving van agro-PPPs de mogelijkheden kunnen onderzoeken om deze projecten ontvangkelijker te maken voor de directe deelname van boeren en lokale gemeenschappen aan besluitvorming. Aanvullend kan ook worden onderzocht hoe de positie van de private sector binnen deze projecten beter in balans kan worden gebracht met andere partijen. Deze twee vraagstukken bieden ook op een wetenschappelijk niveau aanleiding voor onderzoek.
Verder kunnen er aanvullende analyses worden gedaan gebruikmakend van Z-EM en S-EM om de notie van Christoff (1996, aangehaald in Oelofse et al., 2006) verder te bevestigen, bijvoorbeeld door ook een classificatie te maken van de kenmerken van projecten die in beginsel uitgaan van een LA of een andere steekproef van agro-PPPs gebruiken. Gelijktijdig zou er ook onderzoek kunnen worden gedaan om de indeling van Z-EM en S-EM binnen andere kaders te structuren of de analytische consequenties van een dergelijke aanpassing in beeld te brengen. De bruikbaarheid van EM voor Afrika zou kunnen worden
getoetst door een analyse vanuit dit raamwerk uit te voeren voor vormen van landbouwontwikkeling die nadrukkelijk niet zijn verbonden aan westerse actoren of percpeties.
