Curriculum vitae

Carina Boven was born in Scheemda (July 26th 1988). After completing her pre-university education at the Dollard College (Winschoten) in 2006, she started studying Pharmacy passed her first-year examination (foundation course) in 2008. In 2007 she started dental school at the University of Groningen and graduated in 2013. Also in 2013, she started the PhD project presented in this thesis at the department of Oral- and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Medical Center Groningen. Besides that she works as a general dentist in a private clinic (Dental Clinics) in Hardegarijp. She will continue working at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Medical Center Groningen in special care dentisty. In 2017 she was awarded for the best oral presentation in clinical research given at the general scientific meeting of the European Association of Osseointegration in Madrid. Carina lives together with Jos Luttjeboer in Groningen.
