About

the author

Anette Veringa was born on February 18th, 1987 in Emmen,

the Netherlands. She grew up in Klazienaveen (Drenthe, the Netherlands), where she lived with her parents and sister Inge. In 2006, she finished high school at Carmel College in Emmen (VWO, profile Natuur en Gezondheid). Thereafter she started studying pharmacy at the University of Groningen. After gradua- tion in 2013 she started working as a laboratory pharmacist at the department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) combined with a PhD project focussing on the pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology of voriconazole. In June 2018, Anette started her training to become a hospital pharmacist at the UMCG, under supervision of prof. dr. J.G.W. Kosterink., which she will finish in 2022. She currently lives in Groningen with her two parakeets Gimli and Loki. She enjoys being with her friends and family, and likes cooking and traveling. While traveling she is always looking for new adventures.
