March 15 – March 21, 2012

Increased amounts of preciptiation were received during early March.

During the last seven days, fair to moderate amounts of rainfall were observed across Hispaniola. The highest weekly rainfall accumulations were received across the south central portions of the island, with amounts ranging between 5-20mm in the Ouest department of Haiti and throughout parts of the southern peninsula of Haiti. Little to no rainfall was observed in the north. Over the last 30 days, much of Hispaniola has experienced below-average rainfall, and has sustained moisture deficits throughout many northern areas of the island.
