II. Layout shunting yard Zwolle

The diagram on the following page shows a model of the shunting yard at Zwolle. The numbers indicate the track numbers, the red dots represent switches. Tracks which can be used to park trains are marked green. Some of these tracks have special usages; at track 92 diesel trains can get refuelled, whereas tracks 93, 94, 95 and 96 are used for external cleaning of trains.

There are also certain characteristics which are not shown in this model. It for example does not show the length of each section of track and the facilities available per track. Nor does it directly show which tracks are used for trains passing by.

used to evaluate individual experiences of the participants. For maximum usability for the real

experiments, the questions are posed in Dutch. In the column ‘variable type’ it is stated what
