2. Interdisciplinary research is the key for great and productive Science.
3. If the research community were more focused on cooperation rather than competition, scientific development will proceed way faster.
4. Never draw conclusions on a reaction that involves lignin from the product color.
5. Lignin and acid, not such a bad combination after all!
6. Having fun during a PhD is as important as dedication and talent. 7. The feeling of the one time you get a good result compensates for all the other experiments that failed.
