On our way

We are on our way

on our way to an eternal feast.

And at times I hear the cheers,

though it’s somewhere that I’ve not yet been.

We travel as a group

We do not have much time, it seems and we hold each other close

so we do not lose our way, our dreams.

And the centuries go by, so many cultures, ev’ry face is a link through time and space.

We’re a community of grace.

Yes, I may sample what is coming.

That brings me closer to the goal.

Until the heavens bid us welcome, welcome us home.

And we are on our way

There are valleys we will have to cross.

The reason is not known,

but we hope that we will not get lost.

When the night begins

and the darkness just goes on and on we look to Him for strength

You may dream about that day, but it is still a mystery.

As we now share each other’s sorrows, with all our travels still ahead,
