1. Door internationale samenwerking en het systematisch registeren van data over patiënten met zeer zeldzame aandoeningen zoals GSDIII, kunnen open vragen over het klinische beloop en de behandeling van deze aandoeningen beantwoord worden.

2. Een systematische klinische fenotypering in combinatie met mutatieanalyse is de beste manier om een levergebonden glycogeenstapelingsziekte te diagnosticeren, invasieve diagnostische technieken daarentegen horen slechts een marginale rol in de huidige work-up te hebben. Dit proefschrift
