8.1.3. Short Assessment of Health Literacy – Dutch
INSTRUCTIES
Vul onderstaand scoreformulier in.

The TOPICS-CEP score is a preference-weighted index ranging from 0 (worst possible general wellbeing) to 10 (best possible general wellbeing) that combines 42 data points from TOPICS-MDS covered by eight components, such as functional limitations (Katz index of independence) and emotional wellbeing (mental health subscale of the RAND-36). The components vary in both scale range and preference weight. More detailed information about the TOPICS-CEP can be found elsewhere (www.topics-mds.eu). Multidimen sional screening tool on functional health literacyviii (MSFHL) Apolinario et al have developed a screening tool based on three demographic characteristics and three simple questions which provides an accurate prediction of a patient‟s functional health literacy level. The sensitivity of the MSFHL in detecting limited functional health literacy was 81.4% and the specificity was 87.7%, with an area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of 0.93 (95% CI 0.89–0.95). The MSFHL was better than educational attainment in accurately classifying functional health literacy status (p = 0.0018).
English See questions 7, 8 and 9 of this base-set: Educational attainment (0–3 years=0, 4–7 years=1, 8–11 years=2 and ≥12 years=3). Mother‟s educational attainment (same four levels). Identify determinants that can influence the implementation of the innovation and to account for the determinants in the strategyxiv.
