‘Ik heb een aantal
bomencursussen gedaan en ik ben lid van de
dendrologische vereniging. Daar komt interesse ergens vandaan: ‘dit hoor ik te weten’. Zo heb ik de kans dit op deze laagdrempelige manier kan leren. En tegelijkertijd is het een manier om naar buiten te gaan.. ‘

voor de nieuwe dingen, als ik iets niet ken, dan wil ik het wel graag
proeven. Mijn vriend bijvoorbeeld, die gaat voor veilig, als hij iets niet kent, doet ie niet. Maar ik juist wel. Op een gegeven moment, komt er een moment, dat je waardeert wat je hebt achter gelaten.’

De foto die staat voor ‘niet thuis- voelen’, non- belonging, is een foto van een super drukke straat, wederom in Azië. Het fijne aan Amsterdam vind Kasia dan ook dat alles dichtbij is en je overal kunt fietsen.
De liefde voor natuur komt ook terug in deze foto, de tuin van Kasia’s grootvader waar ze als kind is opgegroeid. De tuin was heel groot, mooi en veranderde steeds. Het huis is nu verkocht en ze voelt zich dankbaar dat ze op zo’n plek is grootgebracht.
Dit is een foto van Kasia’s bad thuis. Na veel sociaal contact vind ze het fijn om thuis even tot rust en tot zichzelf te komen. Maar, zegt ze daarbij; “Ik kan overal een thuis maken”. Hiermee doelt ze op haar wereldburgerschap en ze legt uit dat ze overal een fijn plekje voor zichzelf zou kunnen maken.
Deze foto is gemaakt in Thailand. Kasia houdt van de natuur en reizen. En ze houdt niet van routine, daarom ziet ze zichzelf ook nog wel eens haar leven omgooien en in Azië wonen.

Dawid en Agniezka are both 27 and they met at their previous job in Poland. They decided to move to the Netherlands when they visited Polish friends and just sent their resume. They have been living here now for four years, work again in the same company (a sushi fabric) and bought a

het is vreselijk. Vanaf het begin zei ik, ik wil niet zwart werken, dat is gewoon niet iets wat ik ga doen. Ik wil wel een rechte lijn trekken en dan als ik dat doe, dan heb ik geen problemen. Maar als je dat doet, dan, vreten ze je met je schoenen op. Soms heb ik het gevoel dat ik alleen voor de belastingdienst werk. De belastingdienst, dat is iets, waardoor ik me niet helemaal thuis voel.”
