1.5.3 Effect van excellentiebeleid
De toegevoegde waarde van honoursonderwijs is in het buitenland (Vereningde Staten) in een klein aantal emprische studies onderzocht. Door het kleine aantal studies staat de toegevoegde waarde nog niet onomstotelijk vast. In Nederland is er gezien de recentheid van excellentieon- derwijs een vergelijkbare lacune in de literatuur. Ons onderzoek naar de werking van het Sirius Programma heeft deze lacune, in ieder geval voor de Nederlandse context, hopelijk deels weg- genomen.
