Concluderend
• SBR in Suriname van 13.7 per 1000 deliveries
• Met name bij Creolen en Marrons en bij hoge pariteit (> 4)
• Hypoxie is de meest voorkomende oorzaak voor late intra-uteriene vruchtdood, zowel antepartum als intrapartum.
• Het grootste deel daarvan veroorzaakt door pre-eclampsie, placenta- insufficiëntie, solutio of een combinatie hiervan.
• Bij ongeveer een kwart van de kinderen zien we met zekerheid een
groeiretentie, maar er is daarnaast ook een grote groep waarvan we
het niet weten.

• Goede monitoring vroege neonatale sterfte (<1 week / <1 mdn )
• Onderzoek met classificatie ICD-PM
• Meenemen in perinatale audit
