vii I met Inge Bouwhuis (1980 – 2009) in my final year as an undergraduate at Leiden University. We teamed up for our

Master’s thesis project and together we collected, scored, and analyzed large quantities of psychophysiological data.

After graduation, she moved away to start her PhD project at the University of Groningen.

Inge was super smart, dedicated, and kind.
