Curriculum Vitae

Jian Yang was born on September 20, 1987 in Huangshi, Hubei, P.R. China. She attened the Ezhou Senior High School, where she obtained her high school diploma in 2004. In the same year she started her study program of Biotechnology in Hubei Normal Univerisity and obtained her BSc degree in 2008. Next, she stuided Life Science & Technology, both at the NanKai university and Tianjin International Biology Medicine United Academe. During the master program, she specialized in Functional Proteomics, with a focus on lead-drug screening supervised by Prof. Zihe Rao and Prof. Cheng Yang. She also did the internship in Institue of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences on Improved Pooled ORF Expression Technology supervised by Prof. dr. Ouyang songying and Prof. Zhijie Liu.

Jian obtained her Master’s degree in 2012. With interests in scientific reasearch, Jian started her PhD training in September 2012, described in this thesis, under supervision of Prof. Alexander Kros and Dr. René C.L.Olsthoorn in the De- partment of Supramolecular & Biomaterials Chemistry. She applied membrane fusion system using lipopeptides in the field of drug delivery. From October 2016, Jian continues her research into membrane fusion system as a post-doc- toral-reasearcher in the same research group, and hopes to successfully publish more membrane fusion-related resources and methodologies in the future.
