The photo on the cover was made by Elke Tichelman.

It is a photo of the “Mother and Child” sculpture in Dæmingen, Vejle, Denmark. Sculpture “Mother and child” at Dæmingen, Vejle , Denmark.

The sculpture is 1.3 m high and created in bronze by Robert Lund-Jensen.

The studies in this dissertation were conducted within the
