Iets meer dan 30 jaar geleden werd Anne op 11 juni 1988 geboren in het AZ, nu UMC, te Groningen, zich toen nog niet bewust van het feit dat ze jaren later daar nog vele uren zou doorbrengen. In 2006 slaagde ze voor haar Gymnasium diploma aan het Praedinius Gymnasium in Groningen en ging ze Economie studeren aan de RUG. Na een jaar besloot ze te stoppen en te beginnen aan de studie Psychologie. Na een succesvolle bachelor begon Anne in 2011 aan haar master en ontdekte ze haar grote, platonische, liefde: de neuropsychologie. Tijdens haar master liep ze stage op de afdeling Neuropsychologie van het UMCG. In 2012 behaalde Anne cum laude haar masterdiploma. Hierna bleef ze als onderzoeksmedewerker en later neuropsycholoog werken in het UMCG. Ze maakte in 2014 een uitstap voor een halfjaar naar Revalidatie Friesland in Beetsterzwaag. Ook ging ze in 2014 aan de slag als docente aan de RUG. Daarnaast hield ze zich gedurende die jaren natuurlijk ook bezig met haar onderzoek. Momenteel volgt Anne het Topklas traject bij de RINO groep, waarin ze in zes jaar aaneengesloten de opleiding tot gezondheidszorgpsycholoog (GZ) en klinisch neuropsycholoog (KNP) zal volgen, én wordt opgeleid tot klinisch-wetenschappelijk onderzoeker, mede door het tot stand brengen van een academisch proefschrift.
Wij vinden het bewonderenswaardig hoe Anne altijd de balans weet te vinden in het contact met haar patiënten en het doen van onderzoek. Wij kennen weinig mensen met zoveel passie voor hun vak en het vermogen dit met veel enthousiasme op anderen over te brengen. Op 23 januari zal Anne naar proefschrift verdedigen. Anne woont samen met haar vriend Niiwino en hun twee poezen Dirk en Manis in Groningen.
