Preface

Welcome to the Post-Proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Methods in verifiCation (PDMC 2007), which was held in Berlin, Germany, on July 8, 2007, as a satellite event to the 19th International Conference on Computer Aided Verification (CAV 2007).

The primary goal of the workshop was to present recent developments in parallel and distributed methods and techniques for verification of large-scale systems. On top of that, the workshop aims to provide a forum for presenting, sharing, and discussing the latest news in the area as well as to building and strengthening the relationship between people working in the area.

The workshop included an invited talk by Gerad Holzmann (NASA/JLP Lab-oratory of Reliable Software) on Multi-Core Algorithms for Model Checking with Spin.

Besides regular papers published in this volume, the workshop program was enriched by 2 presentations describing work in progress to strengthen the working flavor of the workshop. In total, six regular papers have been accepted by the following programme committee:

Henri E. Bal (Vrije University, NL)

Howard Barringer (Univ. of Manchester, UK) Luboˇs Brim (Masaryk Univ., Brno, CZ)

Gianfranco Ciardo (University of California at Riverside, US) Ivana ˇCern´a (Masaryk Univ., CZ) — PC Co-Chair
