Creating New Multifunctional Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials Jiquan Wu
1. Organic-inorganic hybrid materials can not only combine the advantageous properties of both the organic and inorganic components but also generate new desirable properties and functionalities. (Introduction of this thesis)
2. The Langmuir Blodgett method allows to synthesize CoCl4-based organic-inorganic hybrid
films with different magnetic properties than the corresponding bulk compound. (Chapter 3 of this thesis)
3. Metal ions (Cu2+ or Fe3+) can be used as linker between arachidic acid and ammonium-functionalized polyhedral silsesquioxanes to form highly ordered hybrid structures. (Chapter 4 of this thesis)
4. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is a powerful tool to demonstrate the change in chemical environment of Cu, Cl and N below and above ferroelectric phase transition temperature. (Chapter 6 of this thesis)
5. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. (Einstein)
6. If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them. (Isaac Asimov)
7. 大处着想,小处着手(Keep the general goal in sight while tackling daily tasks) 8. 工欲善其事,必先利其器 (Sharp tools make good work)
9. Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge. (Carl Sagan)
10. After having child, I realize more and more about what great persons my parents and my wife are.
11. During my stay in the Netherlands, I learnt that always locking my bikes means keeping money in my pocket.
