Madelijne Gorsira (1987) studied psychology at the University of Groningen. In 2010 she received her master’s degree Clinical Psychology (cum laude). Both during and after her master’s she worked as a researcher at the department of Social Psychology of the University of Groningen, where she studied the influence of values and norms on environmental behavior. She conducted her PhD research between 2012 and 2017, at the department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Madelijne currently works as a criminologist at the National Public Prosecutor’s Office for Financial, Economic and Environmental Offences (het Functioneel Parket).
