CURRICULUM VITAE

Amber Babke Gemmeke werd geboren op 9 mei 1977 te Zaandam en groeide op te Vlissingen. In 2000 behaalde zij de masters Culturele Antropologie aan de Universiteit Leiden. Van 2000 tot 2001 volgde zij de opleiding ‘Diplome d’Études Approfondies’ te Parijs, aan de Université XIV en I, onder leiding van antropologisch filmmaker Jean Rouch en diens leerlingen. Zij startte in 2002 haar promotieonderzoek aan de Universiteit Leiden. Sinds 2008 is zij werkzaam als docent aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam.
