Tongariro National Park; conflicterende betekenissen?! 3
B: Interview Paul Greene
Introduction:
At the moment I’m an exchange student at the University of Auckland. I’m from The Netherlands and I’m in New Zealand to do my master thesis. This is a little research project that you have to do before you can graduate.
The main topic of my research project deals with conflicts that can appear because of different views/opinions of different groups that have interest in or with Tongariro National Park.
1. Can you explain what the organisation you work for does and what is your function in this organisation?
2. What is, according to you or your organisation, the main goal of Tongariro National Park (for example conservation, recreation, etc.)
3. How do you think that Tongariro National Park should look like?
4. How do you think that Tongariro National Park will develop? How will it look like in the future?
5. Which other groups have interests with Tongariro National Park and what kind of interests?
6. Can you describe what kind of conflicts there are because of different interests of different groups? And what kind of other conflicts are there at the moment with Tongariro National Park?
7. How do you think that these conflicts can be resolved? How will the management of Tongariro National Park deal with future conflicts?
I would really like to thank you for your time.
