CURRICULUM VITAE

Manja Bomhoff was born in 1980 in Gouda. Manja completed her bilingual secondary education between 1992 and 1998 at the international school the Wolfert van Borselen in Rotterdam. After her graduation Manja lived in Villars-sur-Ollon in Switzerland for a year where she completed a course in business economics. In 1999 Manja started with her study of Cultural Anthropology and

Development Sociology in Leiden. Her study on the division of paid and unpaid labour in couples titled: “Mijn man doet niets, maar dan ook echt helemaal niets” was awarded with the annual Speckmann prize of the Department. In the academic year of 2002-2003 Manja attended University College London for additional courses in Anthropology and in 2005 Manja graduated at Leiden. In 2006 Manja officially started as a PhD candidate at the Leiden Institute for Area Studies. For two years she also worked part-time at the Studium Generale. In May 2011 Manja started as a postdoc researcher at NIVEL, Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research.
