NL// Mechelen is vlot bereikbaar per trein vanuit zowat alle Belgische en Europese steden. Mechelen heeft twee stations: Mechelen en Mechelen-Nekkerspoel.
Beide haltes bevinden zich op wandelafstand van het stadscentrum. In een kleine 10 à 15 minuten bevind je je in het centrum van de stad.

NL// Kom je met de wagen? Hou er dan rekening mee dat een groot deel van de Mechelse binnenstad autoluw is tussen 11 en 18 uur. Je kan op verschillende randparkings voordelig parkeren én ze bevinden zich op wandelafstand van de Grote Markt. Vanop parkings Rode Kruisplein en Zandpoortvest wandel je in geen tijd naar het stadscentrum. Op het Douaneplein kan je gratis staan. Deze parking is een kleine 15 à 20 minuten wandelen verwijderd van de Grote Markt.

EN// If you are coming to Mechelen by car, be aware that much of the city centre is a restricted traffic zone between 11 and 18.00 hrs. You can park inexpensively in several car parks on the outskirts, though still within walking distance of the Grote Markt. From the Rode Kruisplein and Zandpoortvest car parks, you will be in the city centre in no time at all. You can park free of charge on Douaneplein, which is just 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Grote Markt.

SPORTS AND RECREATION CENTRE DE NEKKER
NL// Leef je uit in tal van in- en outdoorsporten op het Provinciaal Sport- en Recreatiecentrum De Nekker. Een verfrissende duik in de zwemvijver of zonnebaden op het strand zit er voorlopig niet in, maar je kan wel een frisse neus ophalen tijdens een wandeling op het domein. Kinderen kunnen ravotten in de binnenspeeltuin of je kan met z’n allen een duik nemen in het zwembad De Nekkerpool.
