Curriculum vitae

The author of this thesis was born on the 28th of March 1975 in the city of Hamelen.

A er comple ng his secondary educa on (VWO) in 1994, he started his medical studies at the University of Leiden and obtained medical quali ca on in 2002. The research which resulted in this thesis was ini ated in 2001. In 2003, he commenced his ENT-residency at the Leiden University Medical Centre which he completed in May 2009. Shortly, he will commence his fellowship Facial Plas c Surgery at the Diakonessenhuis Utrecht / Zeist / Doorn, where he currently works as Chef de Clinique.
