Table 4.4: Squared roots of the average variance extracted (AVE) and correlation matrix (second-order constructs) Now that the measures have been tested for the ‘buyer only’, ‘supplier only’, and the buyer and supplier datasets, it can be concluded that the measurement model is strong enough to test the devised structural model. 4.5 Structural Model In order to see if the structural models should be analysed separately for buyers and suppliers, a paired sample t-test was performed in SPSS. The results of this test are listed in Table 4.5. For the Levene’s test there is only a significant difference in variance for information sharing amongst buyers and suppliers. The t-statistics show that buyers and suppliers perceive information sharing and exploitative learning equally. For all the other variables we see that the suppliers have significantly higher scores. As the scores for buyers and suppliers do in fact differ, so might the relationships. This calls for a separation between buyers and suppliers in the structural model. Table 4.5: Paired sample T-test between buyer and supplier scores.
