1) There is no advantage using the word “chemistries” instead of the word “chemistry”. On the contrary.
2) Performing manual column chromatography is old-fashioned. (this thesis)
3) X-Ray crystallography should be used more as a standard tool for structure elucidation in carbohydrate synthesis. (This thesis)
4) Medicinal chemistry will benefit from the combination of carbohydrate chemistry and multicomponent reactions.
5) The evidence presented by Reyes and Rawal supporting a radical fragmentation pathway in the reductive chlorination of ketones does not rule out the possibility of an ionic pathway. (Reyes and Rawal, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2016, 55, 3077-3080.)
6) After decades of research on “organic chemistry in water” it is remarkable how little has been achieved in this field regarding the class of compounds that is most suitable for this approach. Carbohydrates.
7) Although patience and persistence are a painful thing, it can gradually bring you good. (忍耐和坚持虽是痛苦的事情,但却能渐渐地为你带来好处)
