The 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Building Conservation

The 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Building Conservation

The 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Building Conservation will be held on 13 September 2017 in Tel Aviv, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In light of the tremendous success of the first two exhibitions of this type, we are now planning the 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Building Conservation, which will serve as a forum for presentation and exchange of information regarding this field under a single roof and offer a professional platform to encourage cooperation and information-sharing among the relevant stakeholders. The previous exhibitions were attended by thousands of participants and visitors, who visited the different displays and heard dozens of leading professionals from Israel and other countries.

This year's conference will focus on the very timely subject of risk management in the conservation of heritage buildings and sites. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the complexity of managing the risks to conservation sites; the different challenges encountered by entrepreneurs, owners, and authorities; and means of coping with them. In conservation projects, entrepreneurs and contractors face unique engineering issues, such as strengthening buildings against earthquakes, risks along the shoreline due to collapsing cliffs and tsunamis, development needs in historic city centers, and more.

The conference will be organized and led by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel, under the guidance of a professional steering committee.

In order to broaden the knowledge in the field of conservation and introduce decision makers to different construction technologies, many international companies will participate this year, in both the conference and the exhibition.

Target audience: architects and conservation planners, entrepreneurs, conservation engineers, leading public organizations in the field of conservation in Israel, suppliers, relevant workshops, conservation specialists, supervisors, decision makers in the national planning authorities and
