About the poet Chris Wallitner (b. 1997) is a composer, poet, and student at Central Washington University pursing his undergraduate degree in Composition. Poems of his that have been set to music include; Silence, Little Rose, and For You. Alongside his poems are his compositions; Common Thread, Little Rose, and Thinker’s Lament. Chris prides himself in his ability to create stories using words and music, and to be an asset to musicians that have a story to tell, but not the words to tell them.. (3) . About the composer Daniel Schreiner (b. 1990) has his undergraduate degree in Choral/Vocal Music Education from Central Washington University. In his time at CWU, he sang in the CWU Chamber Choir, CWU Vocal Jazz 1, as well as participated in CWU’s award winning opera program. He studied composition with Vijay Singh and conducting with Dr. Gary Weidenaar and Dr. Nikolas Caoile. He was the recipient of the 2011 Opus 7 Undergraduate Composition Award for his piece“Cain,” which was premiered in February 2011 by the Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble. Daniel is currently pursuing a Masters in Choral Conducting from Central Washington University. He serves as the Music Supervisor for Mane Stage Theatre Company in Sumner, WA, and sings with the PLU Choral Union, the Wellspring Ensemble, and Chor Anno.
