EXMAR’s Tango FLNG sets sail to Argentina
EXMAR is pleased to announce that its Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit (FLNG), to be renamed Tango FLNG, has left China to the destination of its liquefaction operations: Bahia Blanca, Argentina.
Tango FLNG is now on the move, just one month after contract signing, and the voyage to Argentina is expected to take approximately 45 days.
Upon its arrival, Tango FLNG will be put in operation for EXMAR’s customer YPF S.A. and is expected to start up LNG production in the second quarter of 2019. Tango FLNG is designed for a liquefaction capacity of about 0.5 million tons of LNG per year and is to play a central role in YPF’s efforts to export the Vaca Muerta gas reserves to the international markets.

EXMAR’s Tango FLNG zeilt af naar Argentinië
EXMAR is verheugd aan te kondigen dat haar drijvende LNG liquefactie-eenheid (Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit - FLNG) die Tango FLNG zal heten, vanuit China op weg is naar Bahia Blanca in Argentinië om daar haar operationele werkzaamheden aan te vangen.
Eén maand na ondertekening van de overeenkomst is Tango FLNG onderweg naar Argentinië voor een reis die ongeveer 45 dagen zal duren.
Tango FLNG zal bij aankomst ingezet worden door EXMAR’s Argentijnse klant YPF S.A.; de opstart van de LNG-productie is voor zien in het tweede kwartaal van 2019. Tango FLNG heeft een capaciteit van ongeveer 0,5 miljoen ton LNG per jaar en is voor YPF van significant belang om LNG uit de Vaca Muerta reserves uit te voeren naar overzeese markten.
