Info
Dutch disability care providers put great value on the
development of evidence-based practices. The programme Joined Forces is a unique collaboration between the Dutch Association of Healthcare Providers for People with
Disabilities (VGN) and academic leaders of consortia of
research institutes and care organizations of sciences related to health, participation and behaviour. It had
produced the building blocks for a new programme in which knowledge development, knowledge distribution and implementation will take place.
Process
1 The academic leaders developed recommendations for new
research in the domains of health, behaviour and participation each for their own domain.
2 The academic leaders gave comments to each other’s
recommendations and consensus was reached.
3 In consultation meetings the
support of cliënts, professionals and disability care providers has been assessed.
4 The final text was established and has been offered to the
Dutch ministery of Health.
