Home polygraphy
Home polygraphy
(Engelse vertaling van Thuispolygrafie)
Information about the course of affairs related to a home polygraphy.
We carry out this sleep study on people with suspected breathing problems during sleep.
Breathing problems may result in excessive tiredness and/or fatigue during the day.
During the study, we measure your breathing and oxygen level while you are sleeping at home.
This takes place with the help of a small box that we attach to your stomach with ties.

Unable to attend
If you are unable to attend, we request you to let us know by contacting the lung function department on T +31(0)88 753 16 30 at least one day prior to the date on which the study has been arranged.
What are we doing
You must report to the lung function department at the agreed time, where a lung function analysis will connect the equipment. Bring nightwear with you. This must be a non-slip material; otherwise, the equipment will slide off. We will connect the equipment over the top of this. As such, you must not remove your nightwear during the night. After the equipment has been attached, you may be able to put on an additional item of clothing.
After the equipment has been connected, you can go home. We will also give you a questionnaire. You will have a sensor on your finger to measure the oxygen level.
Technically speaking, you can drive a car after the equipment has been attached, but this is under your own responsibility. Before going to sleep, you can walk around as usual at home, but don’t carry out any activities outside your home.
NB Nail varnish and artificial nails are not permitted on the finger in connection with measuring the oxygen level via a sensor.
