Lidewij Henrike Wolters werd op 10 juli 1982 geboren in Amsterdam. In 2000 behaalde zij haar VWO diploma aan het Sint Michaël College te Zaandam. In datzelfde jaar is zij begonnen aan de studie pedagogische wetenschappen aan de Vrije Universiteit. Januari 2005 studeerde zij Cum Laude af in de richting Orthopedagogiek met als differentiatie Hulpverlening aan gezinnen in psychosociale moeilijkheden. In de periode 2004-2005 werkte zij als basispsycholoog bij de Bascule binnen de zorglijnen autisme spectrum stoornissen en emotionele stoornissen. Daarnaast werkte zij als onderzoeksassistent van prof. dr. E. de Haan aan onderzoek naar de behandeling van angststoornissen en de dwangstoornis bij kinderen. In 2005 begon zij bij de afdeling kinder- en jeugdpsychiatrie van het AMC als onderzoeker in opleiding met een onderzoek naar de behandeling van kinderen en jongeren met een dwangstoornis, onder begeleiding van prof. dr. E. de Haan, prof. dr. F. Boer en prof. dr. P.J.M. Prins. Sinds 2007 heeft zij daarnaast gewerkt als basispsycholoog binnen de zorglijn emotionele stoornissen van de Bascule en is betrokken geweest bij het opzetten van de diagnostiek en het behandelprogramma voor wijkpost De Oase en de uitwerking van het Non-Violent Resistance protocol voor de afdeling acute psychiatrie. Samen met prof. dr. E. de Haan en drs. C. Paauw schreef zij het behandelprotocol en bijbehorend werkboek ‘Bedwing je dwang’, over cognitieve gedragstherapie voor kinderen en jongeren met een dwangstoornis. Sinds 2011 heeft zij een aanstelling als post-doc onderzoeker bij AMC Medical Research. Dankzij een recent toegekende subsidie kan het onderzoek worden vervolgd en zal zij samen met prof. dr. E. de Haan en dr. E. Salemink het effect van een nieuw soort training voor kinderen en jongeren met een dwangstoornis gaan onderzoeken.
