WHAT EXISTS:
Software applications that use only geometrical data from the BIM- model, but they use their own specific databases (e.g. Soundplan, Acoubat, SCIA in a future version…)
WHAT WE REALLY WANT:
The BIM-model with a (linked) database that contains the
geometrical data AND all kind of technical dataand that can be linked with objects in the BIM-model.
The analysis software then extracts AND the geometrical information AND thetechnical information from the model,
creating a specific submodel for its own technological scope, but that can send back evaluations/conclusions/geometrical information back to the main model.

The productdatatemplate lookalike will be protected, only the values (variables) for the technological performances can be added
Adding a new technological performance to the existing list of possible technological requirements can only be be the authority of one
organism. This could be the administrator of the master database , i.e.
BBRI-WTCB-CSTC, ENBRI, CEN TC 442 WG4,…..
The value of the a technological performance can then be linked to a unique name, representing the technological characteristic (which can then be uploaded to the slavedatabase). My proposition is to deduce the name simply as [ROWxyzCOLUMNabc] from the Excel template lookalike.
Any other decision of names by TC 442 or others can then be easily mapped back.
The Excel productdatatemplate lookalike can of course contain much more than only technological variables:
- Countries where the product is available
- Geometric information (to generate a model) - Marketing information
- Delay fo delivering - Quality labels
- Website - ….

Noodzakelijke aanpak:
(1) Bevraging per “métier” wat er nodig is. Dit lijkt ideaal om dit per TC te doen. Ofwel organiseren we een ITC- happening, waarin we uitleggen wat we willen, waarna we de TC elk apart hun job laten doen. Ofwel stellen we de vraag aan elk technisch comité apart. Moeilijkheid: hoe lang duurt hun reactie tijd. Oplossing een tweetal TC als voorloper nemen. Wellicht ook interessantst om mogelijke moeilijkheden vooraf op te sporen.
(2) Databank: zie verder. Kan opgebouwd worden met enkel bevraging naar relevante productkarakteristieken voor de verschillende vakberoepen. Kan hier samengewerkt worden met Lux?
