Climate Prediction Center’s Central America Hazards Outlook December 10 – 16, 2020
The southeastern part of Nicaragua has recovered from a temporally below average observed the past two weeks.

An above average is expected over the coastal areas facing the Atlantic Ocean for the coming outlook period.
Through October to the beginning of November, the far southeastern part of Nicaragua developed a non- neglectable moisture deficit which regressed after the passage of the tropical storms Eta and Oita. For the beginning of Apante season, localized rainfall has been recorded over Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, and Honduras.
Between 5-25mm of rainfall has been recorded over the far eastern part of Honduras and the eastern coastal areas of Nicaragua. Central America has shown between 15-20℃ excepted over the western part of Guatemala (between 5-10℃. A growing vegetation has been observed according to the vegetation health index, overall Central America.
For the coming outlook period, above average is expected over Belize, the northern part of Guatemala, the northern part of Honduras, the eastern part of Guatemala.
