•  WorldWide the gas industry has a comfortable seat.

–  Gas sells itself and it will always do

–  New Fields, so shortage is not to be expected in our lifetime

–  New gas products and gas markets will always emerge

•  But :If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got

•  The Gas Industry is convinced that they have a superior product

•  The problem is customers do not always understand

•  But we can excellently explain each other the superiority of our product

•  So: no need to innovate ?

Within Europe many agenda’s to serve –  Climate Change

–  Liberalization (leading to fragmentation of knowledge and hopping clients)

–  Empowerment of general public –  Labour market

–  Geo-political developments

•  Result : Innovate or Perish

•  At Hanze University of Applied Sciences, together with partners we co-created EnTranCe.

•  Aimed at the Energy Transition and specifically the balancing of energy-sources.

•  Liberalization of markets: growing need for innovation but changing circumstances. If you can’t beat them, join them!

•  Combining research, education and innovation in a business context in a dynamic, work-based learning environment
