Curriculum vitae

David Nolte was born on May 16, 1986 in Berlin, Germany. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering (2011) and a Master of Science in engineering science (2013) from the Technical University Berlin, Germany. During his Master’s he spent one semester at ENSEEIHT, Toulouse, France and worked as an intern for six months at the research facility CERFACS in Toulouse. He wrote his Master thesis with the title “Experimental Investigations of the Effect of Equivalence Ratio Oscil-lations on a Turbulent Premixed Flame” under supervision of Prof. Dr. C.O. Pasche-reit. After a research stay at the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile, in 2014, he re-turned in 2015 to the University of Chile to study a PhD in Fluid Dynamics. He was awarded a PhD scholarship of the Chilean governmental research institution CON-ICYT. In 2018 he moved to Groningen, The Netherlands, to pursue a double degree with the University of Groningen. David’s PhD supervisors are Prof. Dr. A. Osses (University of Chile) and Prof. dr. ir. R.W.C.P. Verstappen (University of Groningen). Dr. C. Bertoglio acted as daily co-supervisor at both institutions.

David speaks fluent German (native language), Spanish, English and French.
