The lead time accounts for the number of weeks Neopost Technologies needs to replenish the inventory. When the delivery time policy is shortened by one week the current lead time of 13 is reduced by one week and vice versa. The SI 62 and the SI 68 are therefore calculated with a lead time of 12 and the SI 92 with a lead time of 14. The inventory value of 3 for the IM 3003 is manually determined and is no relationship with the formula presented.
