1 Introduction

This document describes the matann option for the SVJour L

A

TEX 2ε document class. For details on manuscript handling and the review process we refer to the Instructions for authors in the printed journal. For style matters please consult previous issues of the journal.

2 Initializing the class

As explained in the main Users guide you can begin a document for Mathema- tische Annalen by including

\documentclass[matann]{svjour}

as the first line in your text. All other options are also described in the main Users guide.

3 Extra commands

There is only one additional command:

\subclass{hclassificationi}

It is needed to specify the Mathematics Subject Classification. This command is similar to \keywords and should appear as the last command inside the abstract environment or – if no abstract is present – as the first command after

\maketitle.
