1 Introduction
This document describes the def option for the SVJour LATEX2ε document class. For details on manuscript handling and the review process we refer to the Instructions for authors in the printed journal. For style matters please consult previous issues of the journal.
2 Initializing the class
As explained in the main Users guide you can begin a document for Decisions in Economics and Finance by including
\documentclass[def]{svjour}
as the first line in your text. All other options are also described in the main Users guide.
3 Extra commands
There are only two additional commands:
\subclassMath{hclassificationi}
and

\subclassEcon{hclassificationi}
They are respectively needed to specify the Mathematics Subject Classification (2000) and the Journal of Economic Literature Classification at the end of the abstract. These commands are similar to \keywords and should appear as the last two commands inside the abstract environment.
