The flexible rubber handle of the brush bends, which reduces pressure and damage to your gums.

One end, left, has two brushes to clean both sides of your teeth and the gum line

The bristles of this brush are made of boar’s hair –a good option if you’d like to go 100 percent natural

This bright, unique brush comes in two

ergonomically correct versions –one for lefties, one for righties

“This is a good basic brush. The head’s small enough to reach everywhere; the soft bristles and flexible handle are less likely to cause abrasion problems”

“It’s great that this one reaches the inner side of the teeth, where many people forget to brush. But my patients say that the double-head end is uncomfortably large. They had trouble getting it into the back areas of the mouth”

“Natural bristles are a useful option for people who hate the concept of synthe- tics. But keep in mind that porous, absor- bent natural bristles trap more bacteria, so you’ll have to replace this brush twice as often”

“The ergonomic handle’s great. But I don’t like the large head. Smaller heads are more effective at cleaning the areas in between and around the teeth, where gum disease starts”

The Canterbury Tales

visit to The Canterbury Tales, one of Britain’s most popular attract- ions, is just like stepping into medieval England complete with stunning reconstructions of 14th Century Canterbury.

Inside this historic building you can step back into medieval Canterbury with all its splendours. Here you can join Geoffrey Chaucer (England’s finest poet) and his colourful characters as they journey from London towards the shrine of St. Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral.

✥ Begin Your Journey…

The Canterbury Tales, one of England’s most popular and enduring visitor attractions, brings vividly to life the courtly tales of chivalry, romance and sometimes horror, told by Chaucer’s pilgrims along their route.

Your journey starts at the Tabard Inn, in London. On your walk to Canterbury you will be entertained by stories told by our merry band of pilgrims.

✥ The Knight’s Tale

The Knight is the first to tell his tale. It is a story rich in love, rivalry and chivalry. Two men fall in love with the same beautiful young girl. Will there be a happy ending?

✥ The Miller’s Tale

A bawdy tale, tells a rather different story of love and one which will leave everyone laughing. The animated scenes will make you giggle too.

✥ The Wife of Bath’s Tale

A thoughtful tale told by a woman, who has had five husbands, poses the question: ‘What is it that every woman desires?’ (It is worth a visit to discover the answer!) Her romantic tale is set in the time of King Arthur.

✥ The Nun’s Priest’s Tale

An animated farmyard tale of a cock and a hen and a wily old fox…

✥ The Pardoner’s Tale

A thrilling tale of death and trickery and one which will leave you with a slight tingle down your spine.

The tale has an unexpected ending.

Winning story

AS PART of a U.S. geography class at Avella High School in Pennsylvania, we were coloring the various states on our map and noting their heights. When our teacher stepped into the hall to confer with someone, we got a bit noisy. Returning to the class, our teacher reprimanded us. “Quiet down!” he said. “I’d like to think I’m teaching high-school pupils, not primary-school kids.” Then, as an afterthought, he added, “Now, finish your coloring.”
