7.1 To start cooking

After power on, the buzzer beeps once, all the indicators light up for 1 second then go out, indicating that the hob has entered the state of standby mode.

1. Touch the ON/OFF switch.

2. Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone that you wish to use. Make sure the bottom of the pan and the surface of the cooking zone is clean and dry.

3. Touch the heating zone selection and an indicator next to the key will flash.

4. Select a heat setting by sliding the power level control.

a. If you don’t choose a heat setting within 1 minute, the Induction hob will automatically switch off. You will need to start again at step 1.

b. You can modify the heat setting at any time during cooking.

7.2 When you have finished cooking

1. Touch the heating zone selection that you wish to switch off.

2. Turn the cooking zone off by slide down to”0”. Make sure the display shows”0”.

3. Turn the hob off by touching the ON/OFF control.

4. Beware of hot surfaces

“H” will show which means cooking zone is too hot to touch. It will disappear when the

surface has cooled down to a safe temperature. It can also be used as an energy saving function if you want to heat further pans, use the hotplate that is still hot.

7.3 Using Boost function

The Boost function makes it possible to exploit the hob’s maximum power (for example to bring water to the boil very quickly).

Activate the boost function 1. Select the cooking zone.

2. Slide the power level selection key until the display shows “P”.

Cancel Boost function

1. Select the zone with Boost function.

2. Touch the power level selection to cancel Boost function, and select the level you want to set.

Boost function can only last for 5 minutes, after that the zone will go to level 14 automatically.

7.4 Using Smart zone function

The Smart Zone is a function that automatically detects when a pan has been placed onto a cooking zone. Once selected, this function will stay active until the Smart Zone function has been manually cancelled.

Activate the Smart Zone function

• Press the smart zone key to activate this function.

Display will show “0” if the pan can be detected.

Display will show “U” if no pan or pan cannot be detected.

If there is no pan on the hob within one minute, the Induction hob will automatically return to Standby mode and display will show “-”.

You will need to press the Smart zone again to activate this function.

Cancel the Smart Zone function

Press the smart zone key again to cancel this function.

7.5 Using Flexi Area

This function allows the cooking zone to be used as two separate zones or as a single large zone. It is perfect for oval, rectangular and elongated pans (with maximum base dimension of 400*220mm) or more than one standard pan at the same time.

Activate the Flexi Area

1. Press Flexi area key for 2 seconds, display will show “=” and Flexi Area is activated.

2. Select a heat setting by sliding the power level selection key.

Cancel the Flexi Area

1. Touch the cooking zone selection. The indication “=” will turn to “-” or “0”. Now the flexi area is cancelled.

2. Select the power level you want to set.

7.6 Using Combo Area

This function allows the cooking zone to be used as four separate zones or as a single large zone. It is perfect for rectangular and round pans or more than one standard pan at the same time.

Activate the Combo Area

1. Press Combo area selection. Display will show .

2. Slide the power level selection to select the level you want.

Cancel the Combo Area

ENGLSH 1. Touch one of the cooking zone selections. The combo area function will be cancelled.

7.7 Using Keep Warm function

This function is suitable for melting chocolate or butter and for keeping food warm.

Activate Keep Warm function

1. Select the cooking zone you want to set.

2. Press the Keep warm key. Display will show “/”.

Cancel Keep Warm function

1. Press the cooking zone selection.

2. Press the power level selection to select the power level you want to set.

7.8 Using Stop & Go function

Cooking can be interrupted briefly with the Stop&Go button.

To activate Stop&Go function

• Press the Stop & Go key. All display will show “//”.

To cancel Stop&Go function

• Press the Stop & Go key again, to cancel the pause function.

7.9 Locking the Controls

1. You can lock the controls to prevent unintended use (for example children accidentally turning the cooking zones on).

2. When the controls are locked, all the controls except the ON/OFF control are disabled.

To lock the controls

Touch the keylock control , the timer indicator will show “Loc “.

To unlock the controls

1. Make sure the hob is turned on.

2. Touch and hold the keylock control for 3 seconds.

3. You can now start using your hob.

When the hob is in lock mode, all the controls are disabled except the ON/OFF and Stop

& Go, you can always stop the hob by Stop & Go key or turn the hob off with the ON/OFF control in an emergency, but you shall unlock the hob first in the next operation.

7.10 Residual Heat Warning

When the hob has been operating for some time, there will be some residual heat. The letter “H” appears to warn you to keep away from it.

7.11 Auto Shutdown

Safety feature of the hob is auto shut down. This occurs whenever you forget to switch off a cooking zone. The default shutdown times are shown in the table below:

7.12 Using the Timer

You can use the timer in two different ways:

• You can use it as a minute minder. In this case, the timer will not turn any cooking zone off when the set time is up.

• You can use it as cut-off timer to turn one or more cooking zones off after time is up.

* You can set the timer up to 10 hours.

7.12.1 Using the Timer as a Minute Minder

1. Make sure the hob is turned on. And zone selection key is not activated (zone indication

‘-’ is not blinking).

NOTE: You can set minute minder before or after cooking zone power setting finished.

2. Touch timer key, “000” will show in the timer display.

You can set 1 minute each time by short touch, or 10 minutes by long touch.

1. When the time is set, it will begin to count down immediately. The display will show the remaining time.

2. Buzzer will bips for 30 seconds and the timer indicator shows “- - ” when the setting time finished.

7.12.2 Using the timer to switch off one or more cooking zones 1. Touch the heating zone selection that you want to set the

timer for.

2. Touch the timer key to select the time when display is blinking.

You can set 1 minute each time by short touch, or 10 minutes by long touch.

When the time is set, it will begin to count down immediately. The display will show the remaining time.

NOTE: There will be a dot in the right bottom corner of power level indication which indicating that zone is selected.

3. When cooking timer expires, the corresponding cooking zone will be switched off automatically.

NOTE: Other cooking zones will keep operating if they are turned on previously.

ENGLSH If the timer is set on more than one zone:

1. When you set timer for several cooking zones, red dots of the relevant cooking zones are indicated. The timer display shows the min. timer. The dot of the corresponding zone blinks.

(set to 15 minutes)

(set to 45 minutes)

2. Once the countdown timer expires, the corresponding zone will switch off. Then it will show the new min. timer and the dot of corresponding zone will flash.

NOTE: Touch the heating zone selection control, the corresponding timer will be shown in the timer indicator.

7.12.3 Cancel the timer

1. Touch the heating zone selection that you want to cancel the timer.

2. Touch “+”and “-” at the same time to cancel the timer.
