5.4 Slotsom
Uit dit resultaten van dit onderzoek kan geconcludeerd worden dat wanneer docenten autonomie en structuurondersteuning bieden bij onderzoekende leertaken binnen het
voortgezet onderwijs dit het competentiegevoel en de motivatie kan bevorderen. Dit onderzoek heeft met een relatief korte interventie aangetoond dat de leerlingen in de
experimentele conditie een significant hoger competentiegevoel en hogere motivatie hadden. Willen docenten zichtbaar gemotiveerde leerlingen die zich competent voelen in de
natuurwetenschappelijke vakken creëer dan vooral een leeromgeving voor onderzoekend leren waarbij expliciet aandacht is voor het bieden van autonomie en structuurondersteuning.
